Ayurveda has a comprehensive approach to life that places a strong emphasis on the wellbeing of the body, mind, and soul. The first area of Ashtang Ayurved, known as Kayachikitsa (kaya means body, chikitsa means treatment), focuses on general medicine. The word "kaya" can also allude to the notion of "agni," which is the foundation of all ayurvedic medicine. The fundamental course of treatment for the majority of disorders is Agni correction.Kayachikitsa focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of illnesses, including arthritis and joint problems, geriatric medicine (Rasayana), aphrodisiac medicine (Vajikarana), skin disorders, diabetes and other lifestyle disorders, and general medical illnesses. The foundation of Ayurvedic medicine is the Kaychikitsa department. Diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, TB, and many other conditions are diagnosed and treated.
